Description

The village elders tell me you have been shirking your responsibilities, treating life...like a game.
Well, maybe I can put things in terms you will understand, if you choose to do this. Yes, life is a game.

But like any game, life has certain rules. The Game itself, the board, the playing field, the playing pieces, all of them were created long ago. And those who created the Game, also created the rules, and then they stepped back, to allow the players to make their moves, to play out their lives for the rest of eternity. Or so it should be. However, sometimes those outside of the rules step in, make their own rules, and interfere with the flow of the game.

Imagine if you will, you are partaking in a game of pawsache, and without warning, a stranger enters the field, pushes you down, takes your ball, and declares himself the winner. The rules changed, because he had an unfair advantage. The Game, for you, was ruined, destroyed. That is why another influence is needed to maintain the Rules. That is why there is, and always shall be a Slayer, we give up our place in the Game to maintain the Rules against those who have no right to interfere. Our bodies, our lives, our very souls are simply relinquished to preserve the Game for the majority.

Of course, I doubt any of this is inspiring you now, so perhaps you should think about it as you clean the Scullery. Begone.

Absolutely godly, dude. I love the pose and perspective and the shading is fantastic. Good job!
